1. Introduction

Welcome to AbsForge – 30 Day Abs Workout ("AbsForge", "we", "us", or "our"), available on the Google Play Store under package name com.absforge.

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how AbsForge handles data when you download, install, or use our mobile application.

AbsForge is designed as an offline-first fitness app focused on providing core workouts, exercise tracking, streaks, and custom routines. By using AbsForge, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

We prioritize your privacy by minimizing data collection. We do not operate custom backend servers, maintain user databases, or require user accounts.

Direct Personal Information: None

AbsForge does NOT ask for, collect, or store personal identifiers such as your real name, email address, phone number, physical address, or account credentials.

Automatically Collected Information by Third-Party SDKs

When you use AbsForge, certain technical information may be collected automatically by integrated Google services (such as the Google Mobile Ads SDK and Google User Messaging Platform SDK) to deliver advertisements and manage privacy consent:

  • Device & Hardware Identifiers: Android Advertising ID (AAID / AD_ID), IP address, device model, operating system version, and system language.
  • Coarse Location Data: Approximate geographic location derived from your IP address (used for region-appropriate ad serving).
  • Ad Interaction & Diagnostic Data: Ad views, clicks, impression metrics, app diagnostic logs for ad fraud detection, and consent choices recorded via the Google UMP SDK.

3. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

AbsForge utilizes Android's native Room Database and DataStore Preferences to save your fitness journey locally on your device. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us.

Category Storage Technology Data Description
Workout Progress Room Database Completed challenge days, total completed sessions, exercise durations, estimated calories burned, and day streaks.
User Achievements Room Database Unlocked fitness milestones, badges, and program completion certificates.
App Preferences DataStore Preferences Selected workout difficulty level (Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced), default rest duration (20s–60s), sound effects toggle, countdown sound toggle, voice guidance toggle, vibration/haptics toggle, and scheduled reminder time.
Privacy Preferences Google UMP / DataStore Your chosen ad consent options recorded through the Google User Messaging Platform dialog.

You can clear this data at any time by navigating to Settings > Privacy & Data > Reset Local Data inside the AbsForge app, or by clearing the app data via your Android device settings.

4. How We Use Information

We use the local and technical data described above for the following specific purposes:

  • To Deliver Core App Functionality: Tracking your daily workout progress, updating your workout streak, playing audio/haptic cues, and maintaining your selected workout settings.
  • To Display Advertisements: Serving banner, interstitial, rewarded, and native ads within the app via Google AdMob.
  • To Respect User Consent Choices: Processing user choices regarding personalized vs. non-personalized advertising through the Google UMP SDK.
  • To Deliver Daily Reminders: Scheduling local notifications at your selected workout time to help keep your workout streak active.
  • Security & Fraud Prevention: Preventing ad fraud, invalid clicks, and technical misuse as managed by Google Mobile Ads APIs.

5. Advertising & Google AdMob

AbsForge is supported through advertising delivered by Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK, version 23.6.0+). Advertisements allow us to offer AbsForge free of charge.

Google and its partner advertising networks may use advertising identifiers (Android AD_ID), cookies, IP addresses, and device signals to serve, measure, and personalize ads based on applicable law and your consent preferences.

Important Privacy Disclosure regarding Advertising:

AbsForge does NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal information. However, third-party advertising partners (Google AdMob) may process technical device identifiers for ad serving, measurement, reporting, and fraud prevention as permitted by Google's policies.

For more details on how Google processes ad data, please review: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use their services →

7. Notifications and Device Permissions

AbsForge requests specific Android runtime permissions to support core user features:

android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS Android 13+ (API 33+)

Purpose: Used solely to post local daily workout reminder notifications at your chosen time.
Contextual Explanation: We present a clear contextual dialog explaining the purpose before requesting this permission. AbsForge never sends marketing notifications or server push messages.

android.permission.VIBRATE All Android Versions

Purpose: Used to deliver subtle haptic vibration feedback during countdown timer ticks, exercise completions, and rest transitions. Can be disabled anytime in Workout Settings.

com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID Android 12+ (API 31+)

Purpose: Used by Google Mobile Ads SDK to manage advertising frequency, ad measurement, and consent-based ad personalization.

8. Data Sharing and Disclosure

Because AbsForge does not operate remote servers or store personal data, we do not share, sell, or disclose personal data to third parties, except in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service Providers (Google AdMob & UMP): Technical ad identifiers, IP addresses, and consent states are shared directly with Google Mobile Ads and Google UMP SDKs for ad delivery and consent management as described in this policy.
  • Legal Obligations: We may disclose information if required to do so by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.

9. Third-Party Services

AbsForge incorporates third-party SDKs provided by Google. These third-party services maintain their own independent privacy policies:

Google Play Services & AdMob

Monetization, ad rendering, ad measurement, and consent management.

10. Data Retention

All workout history, progress data, achievements, and app settings remain stored exclusively in your local device storage.

Your data is retained for as long as you keep AbsForge installed on your device. You can permanently delete all locally stored data at any time by selecting Reset Local Data in the app settings or by uninstalling the application.

11. Data Security

We prioritize security by using Android's native local storage APIs (Room and DataStore) protected by the Android sandbox operating system security model.

Since no user data is transferred to remote AbsForge servers, your personal workout metrics remain isolated on your mobile device.

12. Children's Privacy

AbsForge is a general audience fitness application and is not intended for or directed toward children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in certain European jurisdictions).

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to third-party ad services through our app, please contact us at support@[YOUR-DOMAIN] so we can assist in addressing the concern.

13. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your geographic location, you may have specific rights regarding your data under legislation such as the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA):

  • Right to Access & Portability: All your workout metrics and settings are accessible directly inside the AbsForge application on your device.
  • Right to Erasure / Deletion: You can clear all app data at any time via Settings > Privacy & Data > Reset Local Data or by clearing app storage in Android device settings.
  • Right to Opt-Out / Withdraw Consent: You can manage or revoke your advertising consent choices at any time via Settings > Privacy & Data > Privacy Options (UMP) or by resetting your Android Advertising ID in your device settings.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in app features, legal requirements, or advertising practices.

Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date at the top of the policy. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
